New York State – the Nexus of Lighting Innovation

Linc held a workshop September 29, 2009, at Renselaer’s Lighting Research Center (LRC) for those interested in business opportunities in sustainable lighting.  The event brought together lighting manufacturers, energy-efficiency program designers/ evaluators/administrators, and governmental and nongovernmental entities interested in or pursuing new, sustainable lighting technologies.

More than 70 people attended to learn about the many support programs and services and networking opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses either located in New York or willing to partner with established New York companies. Participants also received a solid-state lighting technology update from world-renowned scientist Dr. Narendran, LRC director of research.

The event was sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYERDA) and the Center for Economic Growth (CEG).  A copy of the event program with speaker biographies can be accessed here.
